Crickets are excellent food for reptiles, fish and many types of birds. But also small insectivorous mammals, such as rodents.

Crickets are widely used as food for various types of birds and reptiles, but are also increasingly used for trout fishing.

The crickets are available in the following sizes: Small | Medium | Large

Crickets: A crunchy snack for birds, reptiles and fish. Birds, reptiles and fish naturally eat insects. Crickets: a healthy and protein-rich addition to the daily diet.

Crickets have a high nutritional value. Due to their harder shell, they have the ability to clean the intestinal tract of young birds. Excess mucus in the intestine is carried along during intestinal transit, which is especially important in purely insect-eating birds.

For smaller species of birds we have small (Nr4) and medium (Nr6) crickets in the range.

Crickets are best kept at a temperature between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius.

If crickets are kept at 15 degrees, they become less active and eat less. This allows you to keep them alive longer.

The crickets can be kept for a number of days if you place a small piece of carrot or apple in the box or storage container as a moisture supply.

Crickets are excellent food for birds, reptiles and fish. Small insectivorous mammals such as rodents and hedgehogs also eat crickets.
A cricket (unlike many other insects) seeks the sunlight and is therefore easy to catch prey for our birds

Crickets are available in different sizes.

NR0 (± 1mm) | NR2 (± 3mm) | NR3 (± 5mm) | NR4 (± 7mm) | NR5 (± 10mm) | NR6 (± 15mm) | NR7 (± 20mm) | NR8 (± 25mm)
NR4 is a small cricket | NR6 is a medium sized cricket | NR8 is an adult cricket

Crickets can be stored in the supplied PVC container with air holes. If you order crickets in a cardboard tube, we recommend that you place the crickets in a closed container with smooth walls. The lid of the closed container must be fitted with a ventilation gauze | insect mosquito net. You can place extra
cardboard egg trays in the tray, which can be used as climbing material for the crickets.

You can provide the crickets with extra moisture and nutrition by offering them a small piece of carrot or apple.

Make sure your birds have variety in food animals. This gives you a better general composition of nutrients. This prevents one-sided feeding and certainly benefits the general condition of your birds.
